The Story

I've been jumping and flying for years — BASE jumping, skydiving, paragliding, speed flying, speed riding. Every sport had its own scattered notes, spreadsheets, or apps that barely covered the basics. I wanted one logbook that understood all of them: exits with coordinates and approach routes, gear setups per sport, GPS track analysis, incident tracking. Something that syncs across devices and lets me see my entire flying career in one place. So I built it. BASELog is the logbook I always wanted — comprehensive, precise, and built by someone who actually uses it at the exit point. Thousands of jumps and flights logged during development shaped every detail. One logbook. Every sport. Every jump. I hope you'll love it as much as I do.

Design Principles

Five rules that guide every visual and interaction decision across the product and marketing.

1
Dark-First
The app uses dark iOS interfaces. The website should feel the same.
2
Data-Dense, Not Cluttered
Show metrics boldly with generous whitespace around them.
3
Sport Colors as Accents
Use sport colors sparingly to identify disciplines, not as decoration.
4
Instrument Aesthetic
Think flight instruments, not lifestyle blog. D-DINCondensed reinforces this.
5
Minimal Chrome
Borders are rare. Use subtle surface elevation and shadows instead.

Sport Spectrum

Six sports, each with a dedicated color. The strip appears across all BASELog properties as a signature element.
